Snapchat is a social media platform that allows users to send messages and browse stories. Snapchat allegedly uses tracking pixels embedded on third-party websites to collect and transmit users’ activity without their knowledge or consent. This may include users’ personal information, such as their browsing history or searches on numerous websites, including Bon Appetit, DAZN, E! Online, Fox News, Hulu, JetBlue, Motel 6, Paramount+, Redfin, Rocket Mortgage, Western Union, and Zillow, among others.
Labaton is investigating potential arbitration claims under the Federal Wiretap Act and state wiretapping laws on behalf of individuals whose interactions with these websites may have been shared with Snapchat.
