Perplexity AI (“Perplexity”) operates a popular web-based artificial intelligence ("AI") chatbot available through perplexity.ai. 

 

According to a recently filed lawsuit, Perplexity embedded tracking technologies such as Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, and Google Ads trackers on its website. These technologies allegedly captured and transmitted users' private communications, including their AI prompts, chat conversations, email addresses, IP addresses, and other identifying information to Meta and Google without users' knowledge or consent.

 

Labaton Keller Sucharow LLP is investigating potential arbitration claims on behalf of individuals who created a Perplexity account and used the chatbot through the website perplexity.ai while logged into their account.
