Did GM share your driving and vehicle data without proper consent?

You may be entitled to up to $10,000.

  • You may qualify if you own or lease a GM vehicle that uses OnStar Smart Driver features and have created an OnStar account.
  • Drivers who use OnStar and value their data privacy should sign up.
  • All claims are backed by Labaton Keller Sucharow, a national law firm that has recouped over $30 Billion for people like you.

This case regards allegations that General Motors (“GM”) collected detailed driving and vehicle data through OnStar systems installed in Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC vehicles without consumers’ proper consent.

The claims allege GM secretly shared or sold data including vehicle location, driving behaviors such as speed, braking, and mileage, and other vehicle activity to companies that create insurance-related driving scores and reports.

According to the allegations, many drivers did not realize their driving behavior was being collected and shared for insurance-related purposes. As a result, drivers allegedly faced not only invasions of their privacy but also increased insurance premiums tied to reports and scores created from their driving data.

Labaton Keller Sucharow LLP  is investigating potential arbitration claims on behalf of consumers who used OnStar.
