A recent study published in The British Medical Journal found a link between the use of Depo-Provera, a common birth control shot, and the frequency of a type of brain tumor called a meningioma. The study found that women who used Depo-Provera for birth control were up to five times more likely to develop meningiomas than women who did not take it.
