Credit Genie offers cash advances through its Cash Boost product, which gives consumers money before they receive their next paycheck.
The claims allege Credit Genie charged membership fees, expedited funding fees, and tips in connection with these advances while failing to clearly disclose the true cost of the transactions. According to the allegations, some consumers paid fees that resulted in borrowing costs much higher than they expected.
Labaton Keller Sucharow is investigating potential arbitration claims on behalf of consumers who used Credit Genie’s Cash Boost product.
